In 2023, pediatric speech therapist and parent Rachel Wells launched her own practice - known at the time as Westbound Speech Therapy - with a clear vision for offering strengths-based, joy-filled speech-language therapy with a focus on developing relationship skills and creating meaningful change. Parents quickly recognized Rachel’s dedication to her work and her practice grew. 

Recognizing that children's communication development is complex and interconnected and that many children thrive when provided with support for sensory and motor-based needs and/or social-emotional support, Rachel dreamed of adding occupational therapists and play therapists to her practice. In the summer of 2024, Rachel purchased a historic 1930s home located just east of downtown Olympia to create a physical space for this vision to grow. 

Because children exist in families (and grow into adults!), Greenhouse Therapies also provides office space for licensed mental health counselors who share our commitment to affirming diversity in all forms. While many local practices serve children or adults only, we are thrilled to offer mental health services to support individuals of all ages in navigating this complex and messy world.  We honor the communication between individuals of all ages and thrilled to welcome all.
